Cook 6 minutes in gently boiling water (salt optional), until tender but firm.
BACON CHEESEBURGER PASTA
14 oz bag Lone Star Pasta
2 lbs. ground beef
12 bacon strips, diced (precooked works great)
1.75 cans condensed tomato soup, undiluted (10.75 oz size)
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Prepared yellow mustard and/or barbecue sauce.
Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink; drain and set aside. In the same skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove and drain on paper towels. Discard drippings.
Cook pasta in gently boiling water for approximately 6 minutes, until tender but firm. Drain and add to same skillet along with remaining ingredients, except cheese. Heat through. Top with cheese, cover and cook until cheese is melted. Serve with prepared mustard or barbecue sauce, our favorite is mustard - yum!
BLT PASTA SALAD
14 oz bag Lone Star Pasta
5 large tomatoes, finely chopped
1 large green pepper, finely chopped
1 lb. bacon (+some), crumbled (precooked works great)
0.75 cup real or light mayonnaise
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
Cook pasta in gently boiling water for approximately 6 minutes, until tender but firm. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Combine pasta and above ingredients in a large bowl. Season to taste and enjoy! If making ahead, toss cooked pasta lightly with olive oil, and store all veggies separately. Add bacon just before serving to maintain crispness.
